A Monochrome Set classic, "Jet Set Junta" here

And some biog blurb here...

"The band feature original members Bid (Vocals) and Andy Warren (Bass) with Steve Brummell pounding the drums and the return of John Paul Moran on keyboards. Formed in 1976 as The B-Sides with Adam Ant as an original member, the band soon became The Monochrome Set and were heavily influential in the post punk scene that evolved after the initial scorched earth of punk. The bands early releases were on the legendary Rough trade label before signing with Virgin off shoot Din Disc and have since had a long association with Cherry Red Records. They have been prolific in their recorded output over the years with an album count now into double figures. The band split in 1985 although they recorded and played live sporadically over the years before reforming full time in 2010, although any momentum was soon halted when Bid suffered a SAH (a form of a Stroke). Thankfully he recovered and a new album was released in 2012 entitled Platinum Coils. The band have continued to tour all over Europe, the USA and Japan and released the follow up Super Plastic City in 2013. They are now touring to promote this year's new album Spaces Everywhere on the Tapete record label."

    • Hello Everyone,  Are you are a patient at FHRGP? I have copied the following information from their website about the next Patient Participation Group meeting to be held at 6.30pm, on Thursday 23rd January 2025. This is an opportunity to come along, listen to what they have to say as per the Agenda, and perhaps ask some pertinent and searching questions about any concerns you may have regarding the agenda items, or any other matters regarding the Practice and the impact and consequences it has on us, the patients.   Patient Participation Group (PPG)  Next Meeting: 6:30pm Thursday 23rd January 2025  Dr Ganesh will continue to share with us the realities of general practice. The agenda will include: The FHRGP Website Allocation of appointments  Accessing non-urgent care  A named GP  Staff name badges  Face to face appointments  Older patients and apps  The long term plan  A patients’ questionnaire All patients are warmly invited to share in this opportunity Time will be given for patients’ issues including topics for PPG discussion in 2025 Please, put the date and time in your diary and come along. • Shop was closed today & flowers left outside….. the funeral couldn’t be so soon, could it?
    • After I contacted them via online chat the assistant said, "Sorry I don't know what happened", basically. She offered to rebook the pickup but I said there was no time to try a third time. I got a refund and sent my parcel through the post office instead.
    • Not about banging saucepans or clapping them. They do great work, but an 8.3% in 5 months. What happened to reality. And Starmer got a total battering at PMQ's today, was well worth watching seeing Kemi lay it on him and watching him squirm.
