This isn't true either. In the year up to June 2025, the UK had 898,000 immigrants and 693,000 emigrants. Does anyone know why the waiting time is so long? Are all the counter spaces being used? If so, it's hard to see how things could be speeded up within the existing building. Is the office short staffed eg due to illness? Are the queues at particular times of day which may coincide with staff breaks? Are the counter staff inexperienced or lack full training or are just very slow? Is the manager inexperienced? Do the customers have things which may take a long time? I'm sure there are other potential reasons. Without knowing what the issues are, it's hard to say how things could be improved.
