Open mic night

Did anyone go to the open mic night at the EDT last night? Was it any good? I wanted to stick around but after the guy running it played about 10 songs I left. Then as I walked past later he was up on stage again. I've not been to many open mic nights but thought the idea was to let people get up and play or jam or whatever. Did anyone else get to play?

Not having a dig, I thought he was alright, just hoped to see some local talent. Maybe I should have stuck it out.

He can only put local talent on if they come forward. I've run open mic nights before now, and sometimes you would end up playing most of the night because no one else came to play.
