OK then... How about If you fancy a cold one but your beer's not chilled, put it in a bowl with ice cubes and water then add some salt. Something "sciencey" happens and it cools the beer a lot quicker than in just iced water or in the freezer...

If you fancy a cold one but your beer's not chilled, wrap it in a bit of wet kitchen roll and shove it in the freezer. It should be chilled nicely in around 10 minutes.

Twice this week I've seen scared lost dogs separated from there owners. The first I keep on thinking about and hope it's ok as it was running around near a main road. I was unable to gain it's trust to check the collar and it ran off frantically. The second had only just run away from some bigger dogs and was promptly reunited with her relieved owner, which was nice to see. Does anyone know the best technique to gain a lost dogs trust? They are always so scared and anxious that they don't want to be approached. In the past I've tried the old "what's this in my pocket" trick hoping they will be enticed by the prospect of food but they are always far to anxious and usually run off when approached.

Surely with the sheer number of incidents the police would be able to find some CCTV footage with the same person popping up again and again. If they actually spent time looking and analysing footage from CCTV cameras near all victims. Especially if criminologists have suggested this sort of crime could potentially progress to "more serious" crimes then surely more should be done by the police to catch them.

Does anyone know what would happen if the person gets caught? It seems people can do horrific things to animals and just get banned from keeping pets! I'd be interested to know what sort of punishment could actually be dished out by law. I guess they've killed probably more than 40 pets by now... I would hope they chuck 'em in a high security psychiatric unit and never let them out. Very disturbing.

No that's horrible. I heard about this guy mutilating cats around Croydon before Christmas. There have now been over 30 cats decapitated. Very disturbing. I hope they catch the psycho soon. There doesn't seem to be much media coverage.

I took the dog in our shop for a walk last week. He curled one out in the park, I picked it up and put it in the bin. Then on the way back he did another much bigger one on the pavement outside someone's house! I had only taken the one bag with me and it was used for the first poo... I had to phone my colleague to bring me a bag whilst I stood guard for 10 minutes. Next time I'll take two bags!!
