  1. Shaun's DIY because it's an Aladdin's cave that's baled me out a few times, and Mrs. Robinson, although I rarely buy stuff in there it's nice to have a mooch occasionally on a weekend.
  2. Ha Ha! I like that she's referred to as Shirley from Sainsbury's. I've seen her in there quite a few times...
  3. You forgot the bit where Fatboy died and Dean got sent down for rape... oh yeah you mentioned Dean
  4. My dry January is going really well, helped mainly by the fact I've made exceptions for weekends and evenings...

If you didn't answer wearing a high viz, what were you wearing?
  6. It's true you are less likely to be targeted if you have an alarm but it's not "completely out of control" there's just been an increase in activity recently. Edit to say sorry to hear you were one of the unlucky ones.
  7. You didn't just leave the tiny little wood shavings on the floor did you? You scuzz bucket, you should be ashamed...
  8. Good shout Help-Ma-Boab, we got our tree today and put the decorations out so now it's on... Not a fan of drinking it but I love walking into a warm pub and getting hit by the smell of mulled wine.
  9. I saw this the other day and thought it was quite nice... OAK logs will warm you well, If they're old and dry. LARCH logs of pine wood smell, But the sparks will fly. BEECH logs for Christmas time, YEW logs heat well. SCOTCH logs it is a crime, For anyone to sell. BIRCH logs will burn too fast, CHESTNUT scarce at all HAWTHORN logs are good to last, If you cut them in the fall HOLLY logs will burn like wax You should burn them green ELM logs like smouldering flax No flame to be seen PEAR logs and APPLE logs, they will scent your room. CHERRY logs across the dogs, Smell like flowers in bloom But ASH logs, all smooth and grey, burn them green or old; Buy up all that come your way, They're worth their weight in gold.
  10. Only if my neighbours were burning fires everyday and using wet wood. That would be disrespectful. If people want to burn fires occasionally then that's fine by me. I like a fire.
  11. Not in East Dulwich but I always go to Shannons Garden Centre in Forest Hill. They've got a large selection.
  12. I don't have a problem with it. I smashed up a small bike storage shed last year and burnt the wood in the chimenea! It was fun, smashing and burning is the way to go... As long as you're not taking the mick and burning fires outside all the time then I can't see the problem.
  13. The run up to Christmas is the busiest time for break ins. Presents under tree, less daylight, people out shopping leaving houses empty etc... Hopefully there will be more police patrolling the area in light of the increased activity.
  14. What the hell is it with kids carrying knives? I hope they're OK...
  15. I like the fact that rather than be slightly annoyed and put a pillow over your head you chose to get yourself out of bed and go outside in the street to confront him! That's funny.
  16. Actually, one more... I remember hearing this at a free party once just as the sun was coming up. Love this tune.
  17. One more. I couldn't make it when Twinkle Brothers played at Lambeth Country Show a couple of years back.
  18. I too paid a lot of money for a not so good barnet chop from another hairdresser up North Cross Road. Glad he's managed to sort something out.
