  1. I was walking home from Herne Hill around 12:30 and walked down the alley behind the football club, but heard nothing at that time. It's shaken me up to think this happened 20 minutes before I was there... My thoughts and condolances are with the family. Such a tragedy, and so young. I'm sure they will catch the culprits, since it was a birthday party people must know who was there and who was involved.
  2. I saw Shelly out of eastenders in sainsbury's not so long ago... At least i think it was her, she was wearing sun glasses!
  3. I had just finished installing a burglar alarm in an unoccupied house up on Sydenham Hill, near the Dulwich Wood House as a result of two previous break ins where lead and cable had been stolen. A white van pulls up with 3 men in it. I thought it was a couple of the builders who I had actually arranged to meet to give them a demonstration on how to use the alarm system. One of of them said hello and followed me into the building site, I walked into the house to carry on packing my tools away, expecting him to follow. In that split second my back was turned the bloke who had walked on site had ran back to the van, grabbed my 2 drills, jumped into the back of his van and that's it... they were gone! Obviously I don't expect to get the drills back and thinking back I'm glad it wasn't aggrivated theft because it would have been three on one and I would have come out of it a lot worse off. Anyway, I just thought I'd share this with you so you'll perhaps keep an eye out for this sort of dodgy behaviour. And of course if you see a note in a shop window advertising 2 drills, (one is a green Makita SDS drill, the other a smaller yellow and black handheld Dewalt combi drill) please let me know! Thanks
  4. Following on from my last thread... I sort advise from a proffessional today and I will be taking Jessica, (my lonely rabbit) down to a rabbit rescue centre where she will be placed in the company of other rabbits until she finds a suitable match. Hopefully this will stop her from pining and put the spring back in her step. I just want to say, the couple that saved Jessica tried for over an hour to catch Mr. Scruff. They knocked on our neighbours house knowing they had kids but they were asleep. They even phoned the RSPCA who refused to come out. I feel sure if it wasn't for them we would have lost both of them.
  5. On Friday night / early hours of Saturday morning my 2 rabbits escaped from their hutch on Burrow Road, (near the huge Sainsburys). A neighbour came home from the pub and managed to catch one of them but couldn't catch the other. He was sat under a car and they couldn't reach him, so they left him there on his own. He was such a timid little creature and was always completely dependent on his mate, so must have been so scared and at a lost when she was taken from him. Of course I am grateful and thank them for saving Jessica, but after leaving him on his own he was taken by a fox. Jessica, his mate seems really depressed and is acting completely different now that he has gone. I never thought I would become so attached to a rabbit but I'm going to really miss having him around. So long Mr. Scruff Although I know I can never replace him, I don't like how sad Jessica seems. She is acting strange, I think she is lonely. Does anybody out there know how I would go about pairing her up with another rabbit? If we found another little boy with a similar temperament would they get along? How long should I wait and how should I go about it? Thanks for reading Paul
