MUDDY BOOTS Children's Nature Group - this Friday AFTERNOON SESSION 2.30-4pm - spaces available - all welcom

Spring is in the air at Devonshire Road Nature Reserve!

An extra Friday afternoon session to suit children who nap is starting up today.

We'll be making binoculars to look through for signs of Spring in the Nature Reserve.

All welcome, meet at Reserve gates on Devonshire Road, opposite Tyson road. See you there!

Muddy Boots is a children's nature group which runs at Devonshire Road Nature Reserve in Forest Hill every Monday and Friday 10-11.30 and now on Friday's 2.30-4pm.

Its very hands-on, friendly, relaxed, completely outdoors and aims to let children learn about nature, get grubby, get lots of fresh air and explore this lovely wild green space at their own pace.

Each week we have a nature related activity nature and there's digging, watering, a walk in the woods and listening for wildlife. We end up back at our log circle basecamp with a story, snack and songs. Children any age love the peace of the reserve and are very welcome.

To engage best with the day's more structured activity, I recommend 14m and over. Younger siblings are very welcome to come along for free. ?6 per child, sibling discount. Meet at the gates on Devonshire Road, opposite Tyson road.

No need to book, just turn up. Any queries, email [email protected] or call/text on 07919 077198

    • Between Herne Hill and North Dulwich gives you good options for transport. You have the line into London Bridge, trains to Victoria and the Thameslink into City Thameslink. Plus it's not too far from Brixton tube.
    • Wow - will do as you say - just find it extraordinary one needs to post something so trivial as this on forum - each to their own. Been a%member for a long time and know the-forum well - bought sold, given things way, had hubs and offered advice…
    • You do know that this post is the reason that forums exist? So that people can ask for help, advice etc.  I'm not sure what "...daughter of mothers"  means but if you mean friends, not everyone has friends, or is confident enough to ask other mums at the school. Oh and you it's nothing to do with your age -  be kind, be helpful or if you can't, leave it to someone who can.
