Hi guys,

I did set up a FB group. It might make it easier to organise events etc & easier to keep track of what is happening when and where.

This is the link.

Alternatively if you send me a PM with your email address I can add you to it.

Hi All,

Was lovely to see you last night. Did you make another date? If we've gone for a Tuesday again there is a fun pub quiz at the exhibition which you don't need very much general knowledge for! We could see how week Autumn mums get on? It's 8- about 10.30. Or would a weekend day work better for those of you with little ones already?

Let me know your thoughts.

Holly

Hi All

We've set 30th June as the next catch up date. We were going to meet at the EDT again but the quiz night at the Great Exhibition sounds like a great idea, Holly! If that sounds OK for everyone else I can book a table there for 7:15, say, & perhaps that'd give us time to get something to eat there too.

Let me know guys.

Hello All,

I apologise that I am late to the party. I am due 5th September, this is my first and keen to meet new people with babies on the way/with babies etc.

If OK..would like to pop to the 30th June event at the Great Exhibition.

Hope you are all doing well with your pregnancies.

All the best and see you soon.

    • This week's edition of The Briefing Room I found really useful and impressively informative on the training aspect.  David Aaronovitch has come a long way since his University Challenge day. 😉  It's available to hear online or download as mp3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002n7wv In a few days time resident doctors -who used to be known as junior doctors - were meant to be going on strike. This would be the 14th strike by the doctors’ union since March 2023. The ostensible reason was pay but now the dispute may be over without more increases to salary levels. The Government has instead made an offer to do something about the other big issue for early career doctors - working conditions and specialist training places. David Aaronovitch and guests discuss what's going on and ask what the problem is with the way we in Britain train our doctors? Guests: Hugh Pym, BBC Health Editor Sir Andrew Goddard, Consultant Gastroenterologist Professor Martin McKee, Professor of European Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Mark Dayan, Policy Analyst, Nuffield Trust. Presenter: David Aaronovitch Producers: Caroline Bayley, Kirsteen Knight, Cordelia Hemming Production Co-ordinator: Maria Ogundele Sound Engineers: Michael Regaard, Gareth Jones Editor: Richard Vadon
