  1. Hi, anyone got a recommendation for an accountant to help with company accounts and annual tax returns please for a small business? Thanks
  2. Any suggestions / recommendations? Can't do Saturday's as already committed with other classes so ideally seeking an after school dance class option for an almost 6 year old who needs to channel some dance energy! Thanks
  3. Kids clay workshop on Thursday afternoons at the ceramics cafe is great
  4. Eek, what's the plan if you are under their care now though with baby due after sept?! Not heard from them on it, will investigate and try not to panic....!
  5. We had a double obaby which I actually thought was pretty good for the price, folded up well, seats go almost flat and not too pricey. I think we used it till they were about 2 and 3 1/2 combo We found double to be best for same kind of ages, managed to get both to sleep in it at same time on occasion & one buggy means that other parent can potentially be free for a bit!
  6. Due 3rd baby early Nov and met a great gang last time round through the group on forum, so keen to join this one too! Will try & make drinks on 2nd June Jo x
  7. anyone got any recommendations (or otherwise!) on balance bikes? We've been thinking of getting one for our just turned 3 year old, but after a quick google search it looks like another minefield of variety & choice! Any tips and recommendations welcome, thanks :)
  8. Can anyone tell me please if the carpark at Peckham pulse is free? used it recently but for life of me can't remember & their website is rubbish! Thanks :)
  9. Thanks everyone, have made some enquiries and she'll hopefully be a little gymnast in training before we know it!
  10. Trying to find out if / where / when there are gymnastic classes in (reasonably) local vicinity for an almost 3 year old.... Any recommendations?
  11. Yes, we had one just before cmas & we're at another a few weeks ago. Kids loved it, you get 45mins soft play and then 45mins in the little party balcony area that overlooks the softplay. Bring your own food etc Worked perfectly for us, kids get a great run around & we brought finger food lunch, and the best bit - minimal clearup and you can go home to a house that remains intact! Think it was ?45 which was entry for 10children + birthday child (and then you pay per child extra thereafter)
  12. ......and another great one is www.justineperryphotography.com A lovely local mum (and a friend!) who has set up her own photography business. Shots were amazing & she has lots of patience when getting your little angels to pose!
  13. ....any recommendations for where to get birthday cake made locally? Ideally after a Peppa cake!
  14. Us too! He did a fantastic job on Photos of our little girl, who seemed to love him as soon as she met him, and still managed to get some great shots after the usual toddler dramas (a fall, tears, getting tired!) Will be using him again soon to capture no.2!
  15. Similar story for us... We did try our 4mo on expressed bottle in his first few weeks & he was enthusiastic and seemed to take it well. So stupidly thought we had it covered! Fast forward a few months & we've been rubbish at keeping up with a regular bottle feed (so much easier when there's a toddler about just to do a quick breast feed!) and que his point blankrefusal to take bottle from daddy after mummy's been out on a heavily wine based catchup with old friend... So, in just the last week we've finally had a bit more success. We perservered with Nuk bottle (tho had been just about to start trying tommee tippee, breast flow etc) and it seemed to help first few feeds were expressed & then immed offered in a bottle. Also had him in his bouncer chair with TV on and I think this was prob key factor in our final success. He's still not got amazing bottle teat suck but has been taking around 4oz per night, & was even trying to hold bottle himself last night. Also might help if you are not around at all so no sight or smell of a possible breast feed. We also tried him with bottle well before next feed was due whivh seemed to reduce crossness levels that it wasn't a boob being offered! Keep trying! Fingers crossed you'll get there!
  16. I'm interested. Ideally a weekend day would be best for me
  17. Lots of options to hire online - I rented mine with Boots - took literally a few mins, they deliver it I think two weeks before your due date, you can have it for 4 weeks (but can extend if things go overdue) & give you the packaging to return the bits they want back, all you need is a proof of postage from post office
  18. Jen, I'm also up for a bit of Monday playgroup action with 20mth & 3mth old (...think we met EDF autumn baby meetups/ mothercare?!) - can't do this Monday but thereafter let us know if you guys are going to give it a go! x
  19. I bought one secondhand (and have since sold it on again) but never actually used it! Took the chameleon on a couple of domestic flights & did the bin bag coverage thing (one either end of the carrycot, tied around the handle) and it arrived with no issues. I'd bought the bag for a longer flight but ended up deciding to get a 'holiday buggy' (?50 for an obaby, reclines fully, little one -7months at time-slept in it no probs when we went out for dinner) and decided that this option was much better (and cheaper even than the travel bag) as it really then wasn't the end of the world if this one sustained any damage....
  20. We found this too sometimes with dr browns bottles and decided that it either happened if too hot or bizarrely if the White teat holder bit (am sure there is probably a correct name for that bit!?!) was screwed too tight. If it leaks when you shake it seemed to stop leaking if you just undo then redo the parts..
  21. Soo good to hear that I'm not the only one providing my child (16 mths) with a 'balanced' (?!!) meal of toast, cheese, breadsticks, cucumber, hummus & yoghurt at home.... At nursery (3 days a week) she apparently eats all or most of everything that is offered (which I have to say I struggle to believe on occasions) but does make me feel marginally better about her very firm ideas of what she will eat at home She ate absolutely everything through the weaning stages, but it's so disheartening when she won't even try lovely tasty new / things she previously liked - bowl set in front of her & she will peak in and then shake her head a very definite not today mummy, no chance! Am also battling with the do we play hard ball & offer nothing else. Or make sure she's at least not going to bed hungry cos she's full of cheese & yoghurt??!? The joys... But good to know we are not alone (particularly when friends kids will eat every balances meal offered to them!)
  22. Thanks ladies, was kind of what I was thinking but thought I'd see what the thoughts were!! Bubba 1 was not sicky at all (fingers crossed for a similar model!!) and her pram mattress always had two sheets on it and a muslin under her head so i reckon anything at all that was sicked or drooled was fairly well contained before it could have got near the mattress, thks x
  23. I know that the FSID recommendation is to always use a new mattress for each child, and this might sound like a really stupid question, but would you apply this to the pram too?? Planning to use the bugaboo carrycot for new bubba to nap in downstairs for the first while, but will be in the double when we're out & about, and wasn't sure whether should have a new mattress for bugaboo?
  24. .....aware the double buggy discussion is already well debated on a number of threads on the forum but think I have finally narrowed my selection down to either phil & ted vibe (or new verve?? Anyone got one of these, very interested in what you think of it!!) OR the iCandy double arrangement Age gap is going to be just 17months so likely my eldest still going to want some snooze time in the pram. Currently have the bugaboo chameleon which I love & in many ways iCandy seems like similar option, but can't ignore friends recommendations for phil & ted (and the sheer number of them on our streets!) Any tips or advice appreciated please. And would love to find out a bit more about the new verve Thanks x
  25. I've flown with my bugaboo a few times (short haul only), and stuck a couple of black bags round the carrycot / seat bit, leaving the handle sticking out, and have had no probs with it. Used sling for the coming off the plane waiting for buggy to arrive bit. That said, I do have the travel bag for the bugaboo that I bought for use on a longer flight. Won't be using it again as just about to move into double buggy territory so would be looking for a buyer for it if you're interested? PM me if you want more details on it.
