Free streaming music and its legal

Just read about a streaming music app in the Times called Spotify and its awesome - currently free and allows you to listen to just about anything ever recorded streming and in high quality.

Non comprende - currently listening to Peter Green - the greatest guitarist ever.

Can't recoomed this highly enough and its done with the co-operation of the record companies. Huh ?

Have to add its the best internet app ever - it's like having an infinite record collection at your fingertips - what's the catch - well there's ads on the free version but I am not watching them its running in the background and they are probably trying to hook you for a limited period as a free user - but I can't see anything about it being time limited.

It's a stream service, not a download.

Can't download but there are 2 million tracks - haven't searched and not found one to date and the quality is crystal clear - like make your own radio station with occasional ads interuppting the stream.Sadly though contains a lot of BONO and U2 but nothings perfect.
