New property development in upland road

Recommended Posts

I'm not quite sure why anyone would pay a lot of money for bland new builds. The ones on Landells Rd (think it might be an old cinema site - was called Vision House)are hideous. There is no excuse for not building beautiful buildings other than developers trying to squeeze out the most profit and therefore using cheap building methods and bland design.

Agree louisa

East Dulwich village, Bellenden village,

THEY ARE NOT VILLAGES !!

Just good old East Dulwich and Peckham, wish who ever is responsible for adding the word "village"to anywhere that has an over priced Coffee shop (cafe in my world )or organic butchers, would stop .

All,

I am pleased to report that good progress is being made with this project. Our industrious entrepreneurs have been so kind as to update the hoarding and we now know that as well as being upscale, the apartments will also boast Victorian facades. Cleverly, facade has been spelt with a cedilla, which while requiring a small extra expense at the printers, should act as an excellent screening tool for the agent when taking viewings.

Ladies,

It seems if you own a pair of royal blue slip ons you will fit in particularly well here.

    • Thanks - I agree that is nice wild. It's just that in places there are thistles and nettles going right across the path.
    • noted on the Friend's map as jogging path AND dog exercise area - with Friends noting the circumference for dog walking. the duwlch runners have the paved circuits - do the runners really need the outer paths as well?  the paths are mostly fine - there's a couple of bits where the brambles are long (literally, a couple of bits of brambles). I tend to tread them down if I need to get passed on the path
    • Cheers - (note to self - must try harder)   An independent agency determines the distance using a computerised Geographical Information System (GIS). This system measures the distance from each applicant’s home to the designated main entrance of the school (where the main drive pedestrian entrance joins Red Post Hill opposite Ardbeg Road) by the shortest straight-line distance in metres. A centroid (centre point), derived by Ordnance Survey (OS), determines the start point of the home address. If a child lives in a block of flats where a communal entrance is used, the centroid for the block and not the individual flat is used for calculation purposes. When dealing with multiple applications from a block of flats to the school, lower door numbers will take priority.
    • I was due to have a routine annual blood test and popped in this morning to pick up a referral. Unfortunately due to the recent cyber attack I was told there will be no blood tests at all at Tessa Jowell for the next month. They weren't even able to access my referral so that i could take it somewhere else. They said it might reopen sooner and I should check in every week but they thought at least a month. This has apparently not just affected Tessa Jowell but everywhere using the same system as Kings NHS.  Bit more info here, though it was not exactly my experience. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cd115yw8pd3o BBC story says they can still deal with serious cases but that wasn't the impression I got. Has anyone else had this problem and navigated an alternative?
