Kids tables and chairs for party

I am leaving it a bit late to organise my daughter's 4th birthday party and I haven't really had time to source any tables and chairs for the 16 2-4 year olds to sit on! What have other people done for this for parties at home? I have rung around a couple of hire places but they are all fully booked. Has anyone borrowed tables and chairs from a church hall/school or anything locally or should I just go for the picnic on the floor approach?

I usually cover the floor with disposable table cloths (tape down the corners to keep them in place) and use disposable plates etc. At the end, scoop it all up and straight into the bin, nice and easy.

Second the disposable tablecloths on the floor - I've also done that for 3-5 year olds giving them each a little cardboard picnic box to put their food in. Fun for the kids & minimal mess for you.
