There is the Vale which is down by the train station. They may be able to help you out. They have a late licence too and walking distance from Lordship Lane. Good Luck, I'd definately come along when it's up and running.

The Castle at the top of Crystal Palace Road has an upstairs function room you can hire out i noticed yesterday, I'd give them a proper look.

Great idea, and definitely count me in if/when things get going!

I wonder whether somewhere with some reasonable dance floor space might be a good way of encouraging custom? We head out to Brixton on odd Friday nights for an ace indie night they run there at the Canterbury Arms -- basically the rather dingy back-room of a back-street Brixton boozer, but the dance floor space is great and the atmosphere it creates keeps you going back. Doesn't matter so much that it's a hit-and-miss half-hour journey on the 37 to get there, because it's worth it (very L'Oreal, sorry).

Not sure whether there are places with potential dance floor space in ED? Needs that and a well-stocked bar, for whatever my thoughts are worth... Upstairs at the EDT or The Hob are the closest that spring to mind.

Upstairs at EDT seems to be trying to be upmarket though, can't see them going for an indie night. I might be wrong though.
