Humax PVR-help needed

Does anyone know of a repair/recovery service? I lost all my recorded stuff - hard drive suddenly was 'blank'

Also the thing has lost the ability to be controlled by the remote...Any help appreciated

May sound a daft suggeston but try unplugging it from the wall, leave it off for a few minutes then plug it in and see if that makes a difference.

They have a habit of freezing if left in the powered up state for a long period (I.e. Not in standby mose)

It's been unplugged recently, no change. Actually when I use the remote, it goes mad and whizzes through channels and not stopping. Just wondering if any of this sounds familiar to anyone?
