A few of us were reminiscing last night about gigs from yesteryear and none of us could recall the musician's name, so thinking some of the musical stalwarts on here could help, such as parkdrive, steveo, otta (might be to young) etc.

I am referring back to the late seventies/early eighties and it was a band that we believe were named after him. He had "found fame" at one stage, but again we couldn't remember with whom. He/they played Sunday lunchtime gigs at the Half Moon. He was a large individual (think Leslie West) and had shoulder length hair and a beard, an appearance akin to the proverbial "biker" image. He/they always finished their set with a fantastic version of Rockin' Robin. He also told jokes during the set. Any answers?

Labour tried to sidestep the full planning process, excluding residents and an environmental impact assessment. For the second week running, their approach has been overturned in Court. It’s an embarrassment for Lambeth Council.
