Help with moving furniture

Recommended Posts

I'm 6 months pregnant, my husband is working away and our loft conversion is virtually finished. I really need help moving the furniture from our ground floor back up to the first floor and new second floor. There's nothing too heavy (no wardrobes) and it's mainly boxes, plus reassembling a bed.

Can anyone recommend a company which might be help or two strong guys who would be available for some heavy lifting? Should really only take a couple of hours and am willing to pay the going rate!

Thanks in advance!

I can highly recommend Chris. He is very reliable and knows what he is doing. He has done lots of jobs for me and has never let me down.

    • It was indeed in the vicinity of DKH. I live on the ED estate and I could tell it must be close by because of the noise. When I left my house this morning I found the culprits litter still in the middle of the st. It looked like they had lit a whole box on fire in the middle of the road. My cat jumped out of her skin. I’ll try and report it on Southwark website same as I have had to with other illegal use this week. Any other ideas for what we can do with the photos? Maybe one of the Southwark councillors. It’s outrageous and dangerous behaviour.
    • Had another great meal there…. those that haven’t tried it, give it a go.. have a special lunch menu as well so you can get a flavour of the food.
    • If you "cotton on" and read the council announcement, it clearly states "The library will be closed from 17 November until late June or early July 2026."  https://www.southwark.gov.uk/2025/dulwich-library-closing-refurbishment
    • I’ve been seeing Lisa at goose green clinic for energy work for a year now.  Lisa is kind, caring and hugely supportive. She is wonderfully masterful and trained as a reiki master for 20 plus years. Alongside other energy work.  My time spent with her is like therapy. An emotional safe space for deep conversations and reflection followed by relaxing and energising healing work.  each experience I’ve had has been different, the end result remains the same. Feel lighter, almost euphoric and almost float home. Definitely an experience not to be missed.  https://www.goosegreenclinic.net/therapies/healing-energy-work/
