Try Shipley - have used them for transporting a few things from Scotland to Dulwich. Put in details of the shipment and you'll get quotes from couriers/movers who have space:

Many thanks, have done - but pricy quotes so far. Will hang on and see if some cheaper ones come through! It is a good service, isn't it? Well recommended if other people are viewing this thread!

Could you not buy same tiles in Glasgow cheaper than moving them.

Even if someone is going, the extra weight will add to the fuel cost so it's not just a payment for a favour.

Unless they are special tiles with a particular value or sentiment.
