Hello

Just wondered if anyone locally has used DIY Kitchens (based in Yorkshire)as they see to be good value. Is so would you recommend them and be willing for us to pop around and have a look as we haven't managed to get to their Yorkshire showroom yet.

Thanks very much,

Paul and Laura

Hi, we used them - bought high gloss cream doors, and all looked great at the beginning (now about 6-7 years old, and installed for 5 or 6 years - in storage for a while before fitting). HOWEVER, on many doors the vinyl cover has lost it's adhesion to the door in various places. And you can see bubbling if looking at right angle or you might catch it and realise it's not glued down anymore. WE've replaced a few doors, and purchased specialist glue to repair where we can. Who know if it's a bad batch, or just general low quality (for the long-term)...... WE're not very happy about it though.

Hope this helps in your decision making.

Nicky.

We used them. We had a painted finish so we wont get the same problems Nicky suffered. To be fair, most carcasses, back panels are the same no matter where you buy it.

We're very pleased with ours. We went for the Luca kitchen ( i think that is what it was called) with a painted matt finish (lamp room grey)with a whilte island and if you marry it up with a quality Korian type worktop, it looks as good as my neighbours new kitchen who paid about 4 times as much via a showroom in East London. You are responsible for all the measuring and planning though so take extra care!

Delivery was flexible (we managed to put off the delivery a couple of times as we fell behind with the works. We did however receive a few damaged items so make sure you check everything carefully asap.

Overall - happy with the service and quality of the units.

    • I don't think a single specific URL is easily doable.  When you enter a search the system presents the result without any of one's search parameters added to the URL.  So I suggest you go to https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/search.do?action=advanced where you just need to enter the address -- use SE22 8EW -- and the  Date Received start date.  I used 1/1/2025.  The three Tesco applications, all minor things, were all made in May.  The Simple search that I'd done previously had no time limit, and didn't include anything else that might have been from Tesco in the last two years. Incidentally, when I searched on the address 29-35 Lordship Lane it did not pick up the Tesco applications, which were held as 29 - 35 Lordship Lane Grrr!
