I know this isn't anything to do with having a family (unless that's the cause...!)

I've now got to the point where I just can't ignore all the grey hairs, but the amount of hair dyes out there is leaving me boggled (I haven't dyed my hair since I was a goth in 1989). Any recommendations would be very gratefully received. If it helps, I have short, curly, very very dark brown hair. I was thinking of having a midlife crisis and dying it pink or somesuch, but apparently my hair is so dark I'd have to bleach it first, which sounds like a hassle too far.

cheers all.

Depends on the scale of the 'problem'. I've been going grey since my early 30s and it takes a lot of maintenance. I would suggest having a consultation with Amy at Willis B. She's amazing and will assess your best route with pragmatism and sesitivity. I personally would shy away from a standard hair dye approach that uses ammonia- I use Inoa and my hair is strong, healthy and natural looking. I'm very grey so have my central (parting roots) done every 5 weeks (a smudge) and only have the full re-growth done a few times a year. I also have very dark hair.

    • Yes, we have a Casio CT-S100 we no longer need, except I dont think we have the headphones any more. It has a USB connection. £50? https://www.argos.co.uk/product/7333639
    • Thank you! She is both spayed and microchipped, and reported missing on Petlog and with the vets.   She normally never goes out the front, certainly for never more than 10-15 minutes, so this is definitely new territory for her. There is lots of dense foliage across the road so there are plenty of places she could be hiding if she is spooked, so we are hoping she will come back when she is calm. The weather isn't helping, she never goes out in the rain. Thank you again!
    • Hi, Have you been letting her out the front door onto the street or would this be a first & therefore unfamiliar with the area? Does she respond to a name & is she spayed & microchipped? Our team carry scanners on our daily routes & will of course be looking our for her. I hope you are reunited with her soon. If not already, notify your street & surrounding streets (find out if they have Whatsapp groups) Dox will print & deliver free missing posters https://www.doxdirect.com/help/free-missing-pet-posters/ Call her at dusk & dawn when street & foot traffic is at its lowest. • A slightly delayed review but another one to echo Niko's praises. I had an issue with a cistern that needed replacing and Niko was attentive and did a great job. He was very diligent, explained what he was doing and fixed issues from a previous plumber's work. I will definitely ask for his help again if I have any issues in the future.
