Recommended Posts

I am attaching details of a yoga workshop with Janet Evans and Geoff Farrer at The Zen Yoga Centre,2D Camberwell Grove, SE5 8RE on Saturday June 6th 2015 from 10am to 4.30pm THERE ARE 2 REMAINING SPACES

The theme comes from the teachings of the Yoga Sutra of Patanjali, YOGA AND THE MIND.

Patanjali lists various activities of mind and states the aim of yoga as the ability to direct the mind towards an object and sustain focus in that direction without any distractions.

In this workshop we shall explore ideas relating to Yoga and the Mind and look at ways to bring the mind away from distraction and into a state of attention. This will involve the integration of body, breath and mind in several themed practices. We shall also consider important yoga ideas around practice and cultivating an attitude of dispassion.

The day will consist of three practices and will be interspersed with presentations and discussions on the above ideas.

The cost is ?50 payable into account 00115772 sort 110484 name JE Evans. This includes handouts and refreshments. Mats and cushions etc will be provided.

Please contact me if you would like to book a place or have any questions or queries.

    • Well I did say I stand to be corrected! Fair enough, their website only seemed to list three branches. Perhaps it's a franchise model?  It's known as 'agglomeration' in economics Rookie error.
    • I didn't know there was a word for that — thanks!
    • This is just normal business behaviour. That's why there are so many coffee shops in ED and shops selling gifts and interiors stuff, clothes, restaurants.  If there's more than one business of a similar type then it can benefit all of them up to a saturation point and keep up quality. It's all sounding like many think Chango has made a malicious move when it actually sounds like it's owned by one guy who has a good business that has done well.   Anyway this is all great advertising for both empanada places. Very close by is the organic grocer who sells really good value and very tasty samosas and other Indian snacks which are also worth trying.
