Recommended plasterer

Recommended Posts

Hi there

Just wanted to recommend Micky lawless 07930 678989 for a plastering job he completed last week for us. He has plenty of other recommendations on here for good reason.

He's brilliant and has a very professional approach to running his business - fitted in a quote the day after I contacted him, supplied the detailed and good value quote written down 2 days later - doesn't always happen but always appreciated!

He managed to squeeze in the 4 day job a week later and was lovely to have around - pointed out a few other things which weren't in good nick and fixed them and left the place really clean and tidy every day. He also organised an electrician, Richard who was just as good at fitting us in.

We'll definitely use him again if we need to and happy to leave keys etc with him.

Thanks Micky!

Just want to echo the recommendation of the OP, Micky managed to fit us in on short notice to do some urgent plastering work and the service was exceptional.

Everything dust sheeted up, work done promptly and house left tidy afterwards - not much more you can ask for to be honest!

Thoroughly nice person to deal with

We're delighted to add yet another recommendation for Micky Lawless, plasterer extraordinaire (07930 678989). He's done two jobs for us recently. We were so impressed with the 5-day job he did on our split-level hallway that we had him back almost immediately to sort out a dodgy bedroom wall. Micky visited promptly and provided a detailed and reasonably-priced estimate. He was prompt, super-tidy and the quality of his work is excellent. He also provides really helpful advice and sorted out another couple of small jobs for us. Micky is a really nice guy and we were very happy to leave our keys with him so he could start the job while we were away. We can't recommend him highly enough! Catherine & Julia

Another recommendation for Micky - 07930 678989

He re-rendered the back of my house, a tricky job that required skill and patience. The end result is fantastic, I didn't think it could look as good as it does. Micky is lovely - a pleasure to have around, full of good advice. Highly recommended!

Another recommendation for Micky who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He recently replasted the ceilings in our Victorian lounge and dining room which involved the 100 year old ceilings coming down. We chose to have the works completed whilst we were away as we have a newborn and didn't want her round the dust. Micky was fantastic, he kept a us up to date with texts and photos, raised a flag with our bay roof after seeing daylight (we would never know otherwise) and even helped with recommendations on roofers. We returned home and the house was immaculate, we wouldn't have known a builder had been in which is amazing given the amount of dust that would have been created! We have completed a lot of work to our home over the last few years and can honestly say Micky has been one of the best tradesmen we have ever dealt with. We would definitely highly recommend his services to anyone looking for some plaster work.

    • I edited my post because I couldn't be sure we were talking about politicians and I couldn't be bothered to read it all back. But it was off the back of a thread discussing labour councillors, so it went without saying really and I should have left it.  What I said was 'There's something very aggressive about language like that - it's not big and it's not clever. Some of the angry energy that comes from the far left is pretty self-defeating.' (In relation to a labour councillor rather immaturely, in my view, wearing a jumper that read 'fuck the Tories').  But I don't recall saying that "violent rhetoric" is exclusively the domain of the left wing. So I do think you're taking a bit of a bit of leap here.
    • You literally just edited your earlier reply to remove the point you made about it being “politicians”.  Then you call me pathetic.    I’m  not trying to say you approve any of the ugly right wing nonsense.  But I AM Saying your earlier post suggesting  violent rhetoric being “left wing” was one-sided and incorrect
    • I never said that. Saying I don’t like some of the rhetoric coming from the left doesn’t mean I approve of Farage et al saying that Afghans being brought here to protect their lives and thank them for their service means there is an incalculable threat to women.    Anything to score a cheap point. It’s pretty pathetic.
    • To be fair we are as hosed as the majority of other countries post-Covid. The problem is Labour promised way too much and leant in on the we need change and we will deliver it and it was clear to anyone with a modicum of sense that no change was going to happen quickly and actually taking the reigns may have been a massive poison- chalice. As Labour are finding to their cost - there are no easy answers.  A wealth tax seems straightforward but look how Labour have U-turned on elements of non-dom - why? Because the super rich started leaving the country in their droves and whilst we all may want them to pay more tax they already pay a big chunk already and the government saw there was a problem.
