Howard Low C tuneable whistle. ?89 ono.

Recommended Posts

This is a black HOWARD low C flute/whistle.

(PS Please check the images. The black finish makes it difficult to photograph in the normal setting of my home, with limited lighting. Apologies for the lack of detail)

Usually used as a folk instrument (very flute like sound, easier to play than a flute).

It is tuneable, with an ABS high grade plastic adjustable head. A line around the head of the body, assists in the tuning.

It is powder coated black on thin wall brass tubing (which makes it very difficult for me to photo in the normal light environment of the home; my apologies for the lack of details in the images)

It is made in the UK and weighs 0.20kgs.

It has a lovely well rounded tone, and has good projection. The larger holes give you a good range of control and finger movement when you want to slur the notes, but require you to be accurate in your initial finger placement.

It has hardly been used. The finger holes are pristine with no edge wear or loss of colour, and there is only a small amount of faint superficial marking at the bottom end of the tube (not evident in the photo)

Excellent instrument for playing at home. Its not harsh or over loud.

They start at around ?115.00 new in the UK, so this a very nice reduction for an almost as new instrument.

Please get in touch with questions, of for more information. Postage in the UK will be ?5.65-?6.75, to other areas and Ireland a bit more.

PM Me here, or [email protected], or 07585273685.

You are welcome to try it out, and please feel free to ask questions or get more information.

    • Can someone please explain who "one Dulwich" are?
    • We are actually referred to as "Supporters"...2,100 of us across Dulwich...read and weep! 😉   https://www.onedulwich.uk/supporters   Got it, the one where 64% of respondents in the consultation area said they wanted the measures "returned to their original state". Is that the one you claim had a yes/no response question?   Well I suggest you read up on it as it is an important part of the story of utter mismangement by the councils and this is why so many of us can't work out who is pulling the council's strings on this one because surely you can agree that if the emergency services were knocking on your door for months and months telling you the blocks in the roads were delayihg response times and putting lives at risk you'd do something about it? Pretty negligent not to do so don't you think - if I was a councillor it would not sit well with me?   Careful it could be a Mrs, Miss or Mx One.....   Of course you don't that's because you have strong opinions but hate being asked for detail to.back-up those opinions (especially when it doesn't serve their narrative) and exposes the flaws in your arguments! 😉  As so many of the pro-LTN lobby find to their cost the devil is always in the detail.....
    • Really?  I'm sorry to hear that. What did you order?
