Someone drove into my car today while it was parked outside no 2 Fellbrigg Rd, that's the Northcross Rd end of the road, near Willow. It's dented and scratched - probably about ?200-worth of damage. I would just put this down to (bitter) experience, but just a couple of months ago I paid ?200 for the repairs after the same thing happened when it was parked on Northcross Rd. I'm really upset that I have to keep shelling out hundreds of pounds because other people won't own up to their bad driving. Did anyone see what happened?

[edited to make title more meaningful]

I saw somebody reversing out of Fellbrigg Road into Northcross Road about 10am this morning and making a real pig's ear of it, but I didn't see them hit anything and afraid I couldn't give a description of either the driver or the car because as usual I was in a world of my own :-$

The only reason I noticed was because I thought it was a dangerous thing to do.

Useful that.

I saw someone driving a car up Lordship Lane this afternoon. He/she may or may not have driven along Fellbrigg Road. I'm afraid I couldn't give a description of either the driver or the car because as usual I was in a world of my own.

A classic post.

I agree, with Brum...you've narrowed the timeframe down to 10ish so that may be helpful to others...

yeah, some drunk in a white peugeout106 on crystal palace road backed into (and damaged) my car last week.

i just think people in london dont care. im simply waiting till i see the person in the car again to get them to cough-up!!!

so looking at this example im minded to think theres some drink-driving going on at the weekedn locally. (the car in question was parked 1m onto the curb!!)

did u have white paint or black/gre6y bumper stripes left behind??

    • As said, why are you not eating humble pie for a non-story? I expect that scores of landlords are unaware or made mistakes in this territory.  And this is not just the Chancellor but a married couple.  It feels like you and others are taking joy in demonising her. The only question would be is the house suitable for renting out?  I expect it is, and if not that is up to Southwark to take action rather than keyboard warriors.  The only surprises are the expense of licensing - surely time for a thread on "is licensing a money maker for local authorities?".  I'm being facetious.  And that the cost of rental, which feels fairly reasonable based on this area. By all means go after rogue landlords.  Be my guest.  I was horrified to see some of the properties rented in London and beyond by family members.  Not all bad. Oh and another question.  Haven't I got better things to do than comment on this 'no story here' thread?  😁
