Wanted: babysitter / nanny for evening babysitting and ad hoc childcare (including this Friday!!)

Recommended Posts

Hi

We're looking for a reliable babysitter / nanny to get to know and use frequently. It will mostly be for fairly regular evening babysitting, but also the odd bit of ad hoc day childcare, including some this Friday daytime. Please get in touch if you're interested and free to meet me and the kids (one aged 2 years 10 months, and one aged 10 months) on Monday or Tuesday this week, with a view to looking after the baby on Friday, and setting up regular babysitting from then onwards.

I'm based in SE15, two minutes from Bellenden Road.

Dear whom it may concern,

I am a 20 year old student filmmaker, living in London and am writing to apply for the part-time Childcare/babysitting position you have posted. I am highly experienced, and confident working with and catering for the many physical and emotional needs of very young babies/children. I have lots of experience in childcare, working as a live-in Au Pair, working in London, France, and Italy, and would love to be given an interview for this post.

I am musically trained, and would be happy to incorporate music into my care duties, as I strongly believe that music is a brilliant tool for life, and a way of creatively enhancing the worlds of small children, and their development as human beings.

I am available Mon-Fri and would be happy to start ASAP (June 2015). Am not as yet first aid trained, but would be happy to take a short course, should this be a necessity. References are provided in my CV, please find this attached.

I hope to hear from you and meet you and the children soon!

Please feel free to contact me if you require any further information, my telephone number is 07517490561.

Yours,

Bridget Spencer

Hi, my name is Naomi. I am available most days for childcare during the day or babysitting in the evenings. I'm 23, I have almost 10 years experience with children aged 0 - 10 years old. I have worked in Asquith nursery for the past 3 years and been surrounded by children for as long as i can remember. I can plan outings to the playground, take them swimming and also do basic cooking and baking with them.

    • Thanks Penguin. It could be a coincidence. But after years of road safety being on the local agenda they finally put the crossings in months before Dulwich Estates regain the lease on The Grove.   The Estate understands there is strong local interest in improving this area and we hope to be in a position to share some exciting updates in the near future. The temporary skatepark will remain unaffected. “Temporary skatepark” is telling.
    • Back to my earlier post about familiarity.  I was in Croydon this afternoon walking between the two main stations.  Didn't feel unsafe, but there were some 'interesting' characters on the street.  Not that any were bothered with me. Not a place I'd choose to go for a bit of a fun.  Although having said that West Croydon has some cracking restaurants and the wonderfully named Saints and Sinners bar, where I once went on a corporate do - not that I did many of these. Whoops just checked and it closed a few months ago. Back on track, I never went to the Castle as I felt it was a bit rough.  How wrong was I?  Only real pub left in the area.
    • Wow Sue! I was reading your post with interest as I’ve never really felt unsafe in London and I was born here. It was just your last paragraph that derailed me and totally changed the subject matter! So unnecessary.
