Kitchen Extension

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am planning on having a kitchen extension done to my Victorian house and was hoping to get an idea of the costs. I have had a quote for ?80k to include the Kitchen (14k). Does this seem along the lines of what is expected as I was thinking it would be about 40k - 50k.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Tim

Hi Tim,

I run a small design practice and do quite a bit of this stuff. ?14k kitchen is a pretty good spec and a simple rear extension is about ?45k (kitchen is on top). A rear and side extension is nearer ?60-80k (again kitchen on top). On top of this you'll need to add approx 10% for prof fees (Build control, struct engineer and design). Good luck.

    • Hi Sue, Thanks for following this up. I was drawn to the bird because it was all white (as far as I could see) with beautiful blue tailfeathers. It looked domestic rather than wild. I am hoping it might be attracted to the bird feeders again. Next time I'll try to get a photo - too surprised and too quickly gone last time! Best wishes, Ilona

We need to keep ramping up the pressure on our political leaders to ensure they know our mass movement for justice for the Palestinian people is not going away. Next Wednesday 24 July, we will be back in Parliament to hold our first lobby of new and returning MPs. Will you join us to take the demands of our movement directly to your MP?
