French speaking Nanny wanted (Part time)!

P&J

Recommended Posts

Hi!

We are looking for a French speaking Nanny over the summer holidays (mid July until beginning of Sept) to look after 18 month and nearly 4 yo girls. Ideally looking for 6/8 hours a week to take them to the park, play games, run around the garden, local outings etc.

There would be ongoing ad hoc nanny work and babysitting if you were free too as my little one doesn't go to nursery and I need at least 6 hours covered in the week to look after her!

Quite flexible on days and hours to fit around your other commitments! We live in Forest Hill near a lovely park (with a cafe serving fab coffee and children's playground........!)!

Please PM me if this sounds like something that could work for you!

Hi P&J,

My name is Bridget, I'm 20 years old and practising filmmaking, I live in Forest Hill! and am writing to apply for the Nanny position you have posted. I am not a native French speaker but I can speak to a high level, having spent 4 months in France, and studied it for A Level. I am honest, fun and confident working with and catering for the many physical and emotional needs of very young babies/children. I have lots of experience in childcare, working as a live-in Au Pair, working in London, France, and Italy, and would love to be given an interview for this post.

I am musically trained, and would be happy to incorporate music into my care duties, as I strongly believe that music is a brilliant tool for life, and a way of creatively enhancing the worlds of small children, and their development as human beings.

I am available Mon-Fri and would be happy to start ASAP, could be tomorrow! (June 2015). References are provided in my CV, please find this attached.

I hope to hear from you in due course, and meet you all!

Please feel free to contact me if you require any further information.

Yours,

Bridget Spencer

    • I am  ill in bed with Covid. It's not that I "can't be bothered" to read things. I am feeling crap and don't have the mental  energy at the moment. I am not "brushing stuff aside and pleading ignorance." I am truthfully saying when I don't presently know enough about something to be able to comment. I have always been very careful to try to  differentiate between fact and opinion in both  my posts and other people's, and I am not clear what your point is. And I am certainly not trying to wind anybody up. This is a forum. If you don't want to respond to my posts, that's up to you. I'm not sure why you feel the need to announce it.
    • @NewWave I know how you feel. Like you, I've lived and spent prolonged periods of time in some pretty crazy places and always thought I could handle a bunch of kids. But, no - they got to me and I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. That's what age does to us.  But I did engage with them, so bear that in mind.  My advice would be to never let anything like that stop you doing the things you love. I'm certainly not going to stop using the park, there's no way they get to take away our cherished spaces!  If you see them, just change tack and keep out of their way. My dog won't even go that way again, so that's that problem solved. (If I see them again, I'm going to keep taking photos from a safe distance).
    • Truly horrific. Being passive or fighting back is what many of us think about by violent theft.
    • What ridiculous waste of money
