Looking for a part time nanny

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

We are looking for a nanny who is potentially quite flexible in terms of hours. Ideally, we would like someone who can nanny for us from 3pm (or thereabouts) to 6pm (or thereabouts) on Wednesday to Friday. We could also potentially need someone for 9am to 6pm on Mondays and Tuesdays from September, but this doesn't necessarily have to be the same person - although it would be great if it was! However none of this is fixed and we could offer different scenarios depending on your availability and other commitments.

We are not necessarily looking for a sole charge nanny, as my wife will be home during the hours we are looking for - we are just looking for some extra help, particularly in the after school hours where all three of our children will be home. We are happy to work with a relatively inexperienced nanny, or a student who loves children and looking after children.

Please do get in touch via private message if you think this could work for you.

Thanks,

Malcolm

Dear Malcolm,

I am looking for very flexible hours re nanny positions as I have a job as a part time teacher and I am looking for work around my hours. I teach child care courses/early years practice to professionals in a local college. I can offer references as well.

Not sure how this works re contact but here is my number 07761101449.

    • Not sure about that. Rockets seems to have (rightly in my view) identified two key motivating elements in Mcash's defection: anger at his previous (arguably shabby) treatment and a (linked) desire to trash the Labour party, nationally and locally. The defection, timed for maximum damage, combined with the invective and moral exhibitionism of his statement counts as rather more than a "hissy fit".  I would add a third motivation of political ambition: it's not inconceivable that he has his eye on the Dulwich & West Norwood seat which is predicted to go Green.  James Barber was indulging in typical LibDem sleight of hand, claiming that Blair introduced austerity to *councils* before the coalition. This is a kind of sixth form debating point. From 1997-1999 Labour broadly stuck to Tory spending totals, meaning there was limited growth in departmental spending, including local govt grants. However local government funding rose substantially in the Noughties, especially in education and social care. It is a matter of record that real-terms local authority spending increased in the Blair / Brown years overall. So he's manifestly wrong (or only right if the focus is on 1997-1999, which would be a bizarre focus and one he didn't include in his claim) but he wasn't claiming Blair introduced austerity more widely.
