I hope Forest Hill Road finally turns that corner and ends up more like this parade. The closure of the William Hill and the laundry and now the French cafe isn't doing it any favours.

I agree Nigello. The sooner those places on FHR are done up and reopened the better. I reckon a butcher's would work well there.

The French Caf? has reopened as the French Bistro in the old restaurant further up and is lovely (and still a daytime caf?).

Ha! Before it was Hannah's it was a Turkish restaurant with an after hours bar downstairs. One night I was in there, stuffed my face upstairs and then went downstairs for more drinks. I was already smashed and chatting to a couple of gorgeous girls I knew. A friend offered me a go on his bottle of amyl nitrate. So, inhaling a massive whiff, thinking I was a cool mofo, seconds later up came my dinner. Whoosh! Projectile kebabish. I can't say the girls were too impressed. ;-)
