Cheers for the support Vince. I can also totally see RosieH's point as well. I don't hold with cars slowing down on motorways to have a good look as it causes traffic and potential for further accidents. Also, it totally freaks me out when I see people gathering around a crash when the energency services are doing their best and there are still passengers to be saved (remember seeing this in Nunhead a year ago, loads of kids watching someone be cut free covered in blood,- made me shiver). However, I didn't see much ghoulish about taking photos of the aftermath, as, as Vince points out, this is just the kind of photo we clamour to buy papers to see. One of the things I like most about the forum is the ability to get local news, as it happens.

Anyway - I'll continue to post pics I consider of interest and suitable for this forum - suggest you don't read them if you don't like them Rosie, as Vince says.

    • Callout for help from any local experts here. Looking to find out more about the history of the property on the corner of Whateley Road and Ulverscroft road (with the green glazed bricks). Now a residential property, i'm told it was a bottle shop in days gone (the house was built around 1900) by and i'd like to learn more about the history of the business that was once here - name, photos, anything at all really! Seems to be very little from open source research so i'm hoping anyone with history in the area can provide any insight!  Starting here before i contact Southwark Archives or similar orgs to get any information and pictures (any advice here also would be welcome). Thank you
