Nanny required Dulwich/Sydenham from beginning sept

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We are looking for a part time permanent nanny 5 days week starting sept but can start earlier to ensure good handover from our current nanny.

5 days a week will equate to 25-30 hours week with scope for more hours as agreeable. Cover required for short morning school run and pick up after school with care until 7pm including dinner provision and homework help. More help required in school holidays.

We are a sporty family with two energetic fun loving boys aged 8 and 5 at Dulwich schools. We live in sydenham. We have lived in dulwich / sydenham for the past 15 yrs. Our fab long term nanny is off to university and we are seeking a replacement.

Must speak excellent English, be able to support and guide homework, cook and care for children, and keep the house tidy. Also must have lots of energy, be enthusiastic honest, caring and like sport.

Driver and previous care of children ( not babies) and/or teaching experience preferred. Male and female nannies considered ( our current nanny is male).

If you are interested pls PM me with a summary of experience and your contact details

Many thks

Julie

    • The birth rate in the UK has dropped significantly from 1.92 in 2010 to 1.56 in 2021. This has an impact on class sizes in state schools which obviously is magnified as kids born in these years come to school age. Looks like all those thousands of ex-private school kids will actually keep our class sizes at a reasonable level: https://www.standard.co.uk/news/education/london-school-closures-places-pupils-falling-birth-rate-b1158175.html (from 16th May 2024) Despite the Telegraph's best efforts, this is a non-issue.
    • It's surprising though that they (France in particular) don't seem to have been paying attention to this side of the Channel and seen how a right wing populist Gov has trashed the UK. That if you vote for 'simple solutions to complex problems' like what Brexit promised, you end up with simpletons in charge. Who then proceed to drive out what remains of any competence/experience to  create an, ecosystem of incompetency for no other reason than they 'believe', promoting the likes of Lee Anderson to party Chair and Truss and Sunak to PM. I mean, what could possibly go wrong?!..
