Juno70
Hi,Has anyone had any contact with the Trees department in Southwark Council this year ? I would be interested to know what they said. I live off Lordship Lane and have complained that trees in my road have never been replanted after they fell in a storm about 18 months ago. I have been told new regulations stipulate that the pavement of my very normal street is not wide enough to replant any trees.Maybe you have had the same response or yours have been replanted Please PM me if you have had any dealings with the council as well?Maybe your trees have been replanted? Thanks. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/65490-replanting-of-pavement-trees-in-southwark/ Share on other sites
Nigello
I started a link a few weeks ago and it was taken up by the council, via James Barber (and - perhaps - others). I personally posted about four tree-pits that needed filling and three have been filled. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1470880,1494782#msg-1494782 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/65490-replanting-of-pavement-trees-in-southwark/#findComment-870844 Share on other sites
BrandNewGuy
That older thread reminds me ? did the Council rescind or amend their absurd 1m x 1m tree pit policy? stringvest
Trees are nice, perhaps they could put small trees in. The pain is those wide cages they protect them with, park near one and you can't get out of the car.
