"No one" & "Life" being key words here ?

Oh god now & sorry Santerme..( can't you come "home" ) I feel so guilty , even decadent......."Has the plague had many round your way.."

I mean how do you go on knowing everything you say "oh loved popping out for ten minutes into town ...blah blah met so & so...nipped into lah lah..." cuts into the heart as Santerme claws at the windows of his Dorchester rectory....8 whole miles from anywhere & probably cosetting the yellowed copy of The South london Press in the cat litter tray...."You made me do it..you.."

And I'm talking about my poncey choice of delectable curry houses.......Sozza Santerme ...but you made the ill choice of Porchester/Dorchester so get on with it...

I will not allow any long distance guilt bombs to ruin my curry, it was excellent.

It is true life moves at a temperate pace here....

However to assuage my need for a reminder of urbanite living, I am going to brave the Dorchester Carnival crowds (it can be tough out there), find somewhere to park and indulge in a Chinese buffet lunch.

Then I will, because it is a beautiful day, take a leisurely 20 minute drive to Abbotsbury watch the signets hatching and end up at either Chesil Beach, or West Bay reading a good novel.

Hardy country has it's little compensations.

Santerme:

Thursday: History Museum, Kensington, Kensington Park Gardens, Chelsea, Brixton.

Today: North or South Downs in West Sussex.

Monday: Beautiful local 300 acre meadows complete with Nature Reserve, gorgeous Lake and waterfalls and 50 different breeds of dogs.

Tuesday: Hampstead ( including "Heath" )...

Sun/Mon/Tues Weather permitting.

Every area has its compensations, but from half-a-mile out on the edge of London, I honesty feel its the ideal base for returning to the heart of London in 20-odd minutes, going into the heart of the Country in 20-odd minutes and enjoying the tranquillity of The Suburbs ( where most lights are out by 10.30 latest during the week)...

Well I have got my just desserts today, it's my youngest boys 5th birthday.....which is nice in it's self

We started planning a picnic in the park for a dozen people or so , well that was the plan & it worked very well last year.

Another friend who shares the same birthday suggested we double up the party ...Great idea......then another, so now we have a triple picnic party ( thats 40 odd kids )and around 30 adults....JOY...................OH BLO*DY YEAH

I know, you feel for me don't you..........really.

I do feel large measures coming on by 4.00pm

Grr

    • I had a leaky toilet cistern and Niko came out the same day and not only fixed the leak but thoroughly cleaned off the years of calcium build-up. His attention to detail was matched by his kind humanity. The result was a completely renovated toilet which has never worked more efficiently as well as 'service with a smile'. MANY THANKS NIKO!!!
    • I am trying to find out about people's experiences of the 4+ and 7+ assessments. I am a teacher and have a wealth of experience tutoring for theses assessments (including my own son), but it's always good to keep on top of things as they always make tweaks to them. TIA!
    • "Sep, you don't even live here."   ???
    • "You have no idea why"   To be fair Sue, it's blindingly obvious to anyone who has a conversation with anyone who isn't a Corbyn supporter. And even some who liked Corbyn (like me initially) found him somewhat flaky even at his most popular But let's say you are right and I have NO idea why anybody might not vote for him. They still didn't vote for him. He lost two elections. The second one badly (and strongly predicted but the stubborn old goat wouldn't budge so we we were stuck with Johnson and another 3 million PMs in the 5 years that followed) So even with ZERO evidence, we have our eyes and ears and brains But we do have evidence   https://yougov.co.uk/politics/articles/27022-their-own-words-why-voters-abandoned-labour
