I know Quids - I just logged it at the time and thought I would keep it in mind in case Arsenal did make a good start. 7s is good odds and I think it would be a lot shorter if they had beaten MU - but they have a few more tough ones coming up, so we will know soon if they have a chance.

I'm still tracking Rip's next venture at Ascot. Next weekend I think. Keeping powder dry - although my mate from Derry/Londonderry is visiting tomorrow and he is a bit of a gambler, so he may tempt me Saturday.

One of my big wins this year was ?600 profit on Kauto Star in March, I texted him and he said he had it too, but for "big money" whatever that means, maybe best I don't ask.

I think it is RD. Momentarilly thought I'd try to make it along but just remembered its my wife's birthday that weekend so a no go, but will def get the race on the TV, I've been waiting for his next outing for since the Sussex stakes during my hols!

QEII

    • Would this not be a complaint better aimed at the council? Isn't it an anti social behaviour issue?  I think of myself as pretty live-and-let-live and feel like a miserable cow for saying this, but I do think I might complain. Personally I love the sound of fireworks but our dog is under the table, shaking like a leaf night after night and collapses in the street when he hears the noise.  I'm worried his heart'll give out.
    • The lower / no bang noise fireworks sound great.    Is there anywhere local selling those?
    • This petition to reduce the noise of fireworks is currently going through Parliament https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/738192
    • Have you complained to the solicitor directly and did they respond within the 8 weeks they have under their code of conduct - I presume they have and this is why you have escalated further to the SRA? If he doesn't respond in a timely fashion per the SRA code of conduct then I am sure they will need to take action.
