It was a great game Mr.Ben and i wish Judds had have won it for you.J.H. has all the experience and cool as a cucumber.Still, get a bit back on Sunday and lay Man Utd cos the Blues will take the 3 points. Also class will prevail in the Champions League final when Barcelona will take the cup.Messi will educate Looney in the art of football and the arrogant serf will be chewing at 90 miles an hour.(but dont tell Laddymuck and the reds go marching on on on)

Go Go Go CHELSEA.

No Alan, not backing down,i stand by my opinions. My original post was for Mr.Ben to lay Man.U. so that he had Chelsea and the draw in his favour.Quids suggested a better bet would be to back Chelsea to win which would not be in Mr.Bens favour.Speaking for myself,as i said i stand by my opinions and have backed the Blues, albeit at slightly less odds than Betfair at 9/4 with Betfred.

Was at the Oaks yesterday and had 3 winners from 7 and made a small profit as relatively short odds winners. Nicolas Abbay won the coronation stakes in a superb battle with Henry Cecils horse Midday.

Backed Wonder of Wonders in the Oaks which came a close second.

Anyone following the Derby meeting today? any thoughts? Was going to back Kieran Fallon but he is ruled out now and might switch to the French horse Pour Moi....

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
