Am I allowed to announce another big winning bet without you getting disappointed again... :))

Backed McIlroy a 10s and Dustin Johnson at 24 at start of the St Jude. With 3 holes to go they were first and second fav, Johnson won and an overall profit of ?150 on the two bets.

It seems to be never ending. What will I do with all the money. I might buy a hedge trimmer, to cut down all the hedgies in the local area.

Still got Italy, Russia and Torres as top goal score all now in trading territory. I also have put a bet on Holland tonight at 34s and hedged it with laying them against Portugal. If they lose nothing lost if they win they'll plummet down again in my opinion ready for a trade....don't worry Mick I'll explain it all to you one day

Plus, in the Golf - Donald, Laird and Hansen and,er, Watney.

Really - there is no need. I understand Trading - Its when Quids looks like he is going to win a bet for once, and he decides to give the bookies back half of the winnings. Trading is a bookie's dream.

Just watched the wonder from down under Black Caviar. Job done but only just.

Probably not the best ground for her and a long trip to the UK is going to take a fair bit out of the horse.

The Aussie jockey is taking it very badly, really feel for him. In the end he tried not to be too hard on the horse, and nearly messed up, but it still won.

The end of the BBC coverage of Ascot is sad. Not massively keen on Claire Balding, but I do like the fun she has with Willie Carson, and I think the BBC deserves some racing.

A mixture of Football, a massive night on Tuesday :)-D and being in Ireland meant I saw very little of Ascot and no bets but I did see Frankel on the news, absolutely awesome.

Layed off Torres for Top scorer for a very small profit or a bit bigger one if he gets it (unlikely); Just holding Italy as winners (compensation if they beat us) and have reduced my risk on Laying Spain by backing them at half time tonight...but will still be in the red if they win. Also layed any hatrick at 1.32 or something as that seemed worth a shout for a minimum risk. er sorry edited to say layed No hatrick at 1.32 :)

Using my poker Forum I did Webb Simpson to win at the US event this week at 21. Forgot completley until about 8pm tonight went on BBC and he was leader by 3 and avaialable at 1.5///so, I layed for a 60%/40% win either way (60 for the win). He's now 5th, one over for today and having a nightmare...oh I love a lay...

ps thinking about only betting on golf given my form recently :)

    • Sorry but I think it's best if people just check things for themselves when they buy things. In three shops/restaurants (from some years back) I just avoid the places concerned, as in all three  cases I was pretty sure it wasn't a genuine mistake, and in one place  it happened more than once and usually late at night.
    • Sorry Sue - me again. This has been on my mind all day, it's a big bug bear of mine. If you don't mind - please can you private message me some of these shops so I can cross reference / add to my AVOID list.  Thanks in advance. Let's make sure this doesn't happen this Christmas, particularly as we head into sales season. Even more problematic in my experience.
    • Pity you didn't quote what you are referring to, Mal. I didn't see the previous post, and my mind is boggling 😮
    • The Cherry Tree was absolutely excellent for a while when a youngish couple ran it and brought in a really good chef. It was them who renamed it The Cherry Tree. They were really turning it around. The chef did fantastic Scotch eggs, and one of the best roasts I've ever had. If memory serves the then owner,  for some reason known only to himself, took a dislike to them and what they were doing and sacked them all. And yes we weren't expecting a top class  meal last Christmas, and we left it too late to book anywhere else, but we weren't expecting it for a hundred pounds EACH to be quite as terrible as it was. Stupid us. Not sure why you are confused by my post, Jazzer? Did I misremember? Now it's got even more confusing because my posts have been merged and your confused emoji is shown at the bottom of the second one instead of the first 🤣
