It was a handicap Declan, carrying second top weight and known to prefer soft ground so it's an ok performance, the first four home were all well down the weights.

Silver Treasure is now moving to France with Amy the trainer. Went to the races today with my wife and kids to say goodbye.

I've been told Harp Star is a 'dead cert' for the Japan Cup tomorrow morning. Same source as the last one one you made lots of money on Mick. However I've no idea. It's about 4/1 at the moment. Early morning race for us tomorrow. Don't blame me if you bet on it and it doesn't win.
Thanks Declan. There is little insider knowledge on big races like this so I'm only having a saver on Harp Star. I'm putting my main bet on the favorite Gentildonna who won last year and mares seem to do well tbis time of year. Also Ryan Moore says the horse is in good shape. If it doesn't win and harp star does I'll break even. Thanks for tip. Good luck.

    • My mum (91 years young!) well remembers going to Austin's as a child, which she described as an 'Aladdin's Cave'!  She absolutely loved it - and is still a shopping fiend to this day (I 'blame' Austin's 😉). Going back up Peckham Rye, passing Austin's on your right hand-side, just past Phillips Walk (so not far from Austin's at all), I believe there was a British Relay Wireless shop - this would have been in the late 1930s/early 1940s.  Does anyone know anything about this? My grandad (my mum's dad) used to manage it; it was severely damaged in The Blitz - but I am having trouble locating it.  Mum's memory is dim (she was 6 at the time); she originally thought it was in Rye Lane, but we think now it was in Peckham Rye just up from Phillips Walk (originally Phillips Road).
    • Thanks everyone, this will need to be reported again as the fox was still mobile and walking down the road when last seen... hopefully someone will spot and report.
