Wanted: bike for a 14 year old boy

My son had his old bike stolen recently and is in need of a cheap replacement. If you have a mountain bike or racer lurking in a shed somewhere that is in reasonable working (or almost working) condition, could we make you an offer? He is about 5ft 5inches tall but growing fast.

  I always wait by the bus stop and feel a liitle sad for the owners because it always appears empty. I thought it was a pizza place and did'nt realise it had a full menu. I agree we need to support independent buisnesses

  Friend recommends Penge Cycle Club. Southwark Cyclists usually do two social cycle rides on Saturday, you don't need to be a member (London Cycling Campaign) but recommended. They are advertised on the What's On section of EDF. And you can go on their other Borough group rides, Lewisham Cyclists often do long rides. Generally very cycle friendly around here, despite occasional on line hostility.
