Another great day out is Coolings nature trail near Knockholt (about 20-25 mins the far side of Bromley). It's a ?3 entry since January, it's at the back of a garden centre and the nature trail has wallabies, pigs, goats, ducks and geese. Has lots of goodies for children to play with, tepees, long line of trees shaped into a tunnel, wishing log, plus back at the garden centre there are some Wendy houses on display which they let children play in, little go kart track and motorized diggers. Cafe is also very nice and not badly priced or they have a picnic area outside if you want to bring a picnic. Overall a really fab few hours, we are normally there for at least 4 hours.
Just did the British Museum for the first time in a while. Indoor Picnic under the dome great in this weather then Activity pack (free with deposit) which our 6 and 4 year old loved...then scared them with the mummies! Good Sunday day as parking reasonebly easy in streets around and free on Sundays (or 176 or 68 from SE24/SE5 and walk).

Some wonderful ideas for days out!

On houseoflego's recommendation above, we went to the London Transport Museum on Saturday. Train from PR to LB and then another train from LB to Charing Cross and walked to Covent Garden from there. Our toddler loved the trip on the train and adored the museum - very toddler friendly. Now we have tickets that are valid for 12 months I'm sure we'll be going again very soon (?13 for adults / free for under 16s).

Another recommendation for a more local activity (which we did on Sunday) would be for a walk / explore around Nunhead Cemetery followed by coffee and cakes in the wonderful new family friendly cafe - The Dish & The Spoon - on Cheltenham Road (http://www.thedishandthespoon.co.uk/).

Last year we had merlin passes and got discounts to the chessington hotel visit that gives you early entry to the theme park. The hotel is ok - dining room was dire but nice space behind and then the pre-opening entry to the theme park feels really privileged. We had about 3 rides on the bumper cars before it got busy

    • Wow, well served with local supermarkets then…  Agree with ATM.. good c position to been mugged or cloned card - prob why not been considered before. Wasn’t there one outside post office and still  is2where people were abit nervous of using? Hope I am wrong but won’t see me rushing to use it…sure lots of folk will benefit thou. Not a great fan or user of Iceland but when it closed years ago people complained..  Guess they only b look at bigger sites - can’t recall an express one but a pity to those who frequent the store. Strange that Tesco can use it as local but Iceland can’t - guess it is  power of large supermarkets. Personally would have  loved an Aldi or Lidl but  clearly site to small. Only grocery stores left to come are Waitrose, Aldi, Lidl…
    • I'm paying £31 pcm for full fibre 300, whatever that is. I'm not sure it's a particularly good deal now, but I did a comparison at the time I went onto it, and it was then. I don't have a landline any more, and my mobile is with iD, who piggyback off 3. I don't usually have any problems,  except once a few years back when the whole 3  network (?) went  down for quite a long time.
    • I have Plusnet too.   I recently (August) had some problems with WiFi connection on different days but and the turning off and turning on didn’t work.  The WiFi didn’t work for quite a few hours - overnight in one case but eventually rectified itself.   Would be interested to know how much other people pay for Plusnet. I also have a landline with them as the mobile signal is bad inside house.  That is with EE and I want to change from them to another provider.
    • That's terrible 🤬 Was it the same company both times?
