Selling my Carrera road bike - 2 reasons:

1) It's a wee bit too big for me and,

2) I've had trouble with the spindle, that attaches the chain ring and crank set through the bottom bracket, due to wear and tear. This will need replacing (as I haven't gotten round to doing it myself). I am willing to reduce the price significantly for this.

Other than that the bikes in great working order.

8sp cassette, near new.

Shimano 105 rear derailleur,

Breaks are in great nick,


You are more than welcome to come round and check the bike out for yourself and make an offer.

      Does anyone remember an incident from the late 90s/early 00s in which a young man fell to death from Dawsons Heights?

      Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
