Does that bother you.. ?

I usually post about being on holiday (Usually ? I hadn't had a holiday for 9 years)

to tell Michael P. I wont be at curry club.

What about those who go on every time they have a Pizza at Franco Manca.. or a Curry at Ganapatti ...

or a meal at Franklins .. or the Palmerston..

Actually don't hear much about F.M. any more, now the Novelty has worn off.. Its all about that Pussey place now.

I don't see the problem with saying I'm away or going away.. Its one of the few things that I get excited about.

I have a good security system with several key holders registered with the police..

I also have VERY nosey neighbours.

After all when I was working I was out all day.

Apart from a 5/6 year old Tele and a couple of old laptops (10 years +)there is sod all worth nicking.

I haven't said exactly when I am going and where I live.

Biggest risk is with rough minicabs picking you up and taking you to the airport.

Burglars often monitor peoples movements.. and wait for you to go out..

Some break in while you are asleep. Some pose as officials. ?

What can you do. ?

No I don't have a problem, just curious as to why you do this as no one else seems to. If it was just a case of telling MP that you won't be at the next CC, fair enough, but it's not just that though is it?

When someone posts about a local eaterie it's not the same thing. Most tend to be a good or bad review, and invite discussion on a local issue. However, if someone were to post that in x number of days they were going to have a meal at xyz, then that's more about them than the eaterie.

Nothing wrong about being excited about a holiday, I am about mine, I just don't feel the need to tell everyone on here at every opportunity.

Any reason why you decided to start such a negative thread about the forum?...

İf İ didn't post here. Many here would have no one to have a go at.

Their world would dry up.

They would have nothing to say for themselves .

So I just feed the trolls . I'm doing it now .

They love it . They really do.

    • Thank you, this really made me chuckle. It's like you met my brother as he would be the one taking more than his share. Plus the 'pikey' chutney is a winner. Unusual as in can't be identified??? Sadly I'm not the host otherwise I would definitely do that I regularly shop in the Cheese Block and am a fan. But as people have pointed out, there is no cheese shop that charges less based on bulk, so Aldi unusual cheeses may be what the familam receive! Yay, so I can get discounted mouse nibbled cheese still! Oooo, now I do love a Stinking Bishop. It actually offends my stepmum by it's stinkiness but luckily she is not one of the attendees at this particular gathering.  This is blooming genius. It's actually my partner who has the biggest issue with buying in plastic so I will have to hide the wrappers from him!
    • I like the look of SD's Sweet and Sour chicken. It's a really good dish when made freshly and well. I'll need to try it. Sad that Oriental Star and Lucky House by Dulwich Library both closed at a similarish time. They were decent, reliable, "British Chinese" takeaways.
    • William S Spicer was a family-owned firm that initially made horse drawn delivery carts for breweries (especially Fullers Brewery in W London) and horse-drawn trams. With the advent of the internal combustion engine, they successfully made the transition to coachbuilding delivery vehicles London's leading department stores using German engines. WW2 interrupted their business for obvious reasons, and their postwar attempt to become the local assembler and distributor of Bulgarian "Izmama" trucks was not blessed with good fortune. In 1953, the company pivoted to being a full-service garage, leveraging their reputation for honesty and excellence.  In 1972, the Dulwich site was sold to its present owners. William S Spicer III (the grandson of the founder) retired to Lancashire, where he founded a sanctuary for the endangered ineptia beetle, which he had encountered in Bulgaria while travelling for business. In 1978, Spicer was awarded an OBE for conservation, and a newly-discovered  beetle was named after him by the Bulgarian People's National Academy of Sciences - Byturus Spicerius.
