Hello,

Looking to buy a little 2nd hand car, not to do great distances, but something reliable and safe. I have no clue about cars so just wondering if anyone could share opinions on cars which can comfortably fit 2 child car seats and a buggy in the boot, but at the same time not too massive (I am rubbish at parking).

Thanks!

I think devsdev gives good advice. We got a relatively small car because I was worried about parking on our busy road (I am, ahem, not the world's best reverse parker). But you do very quickly get used to a bigger car, e.g. whenever we've had a hire car abroad. And now every time I can't fit stuff in the boot I do curse our decision. We had thought that once we got rid of the buggy we wouldn't need much space, but then as the kids get older you want to put their bikes in the boot, or go on camping trips, or ferry all their mates around? So yeah, go as big as you dare/can afford.

    • Clicking on your name, I see you've made seven posts on here in around four years, and they've all been about local libraries. And none of them very pleasant. Care to share with the rest of us where  your particular interest in libraries comes from? Do you work in one of them?
    • Kam was with us last week to wallpaper a bedroom. He was a pleasure to deal with and did a fantastic job - very neat and matched the tricky pattern very well. Would certainly use again.
    • What a bunch of pieholes. 2025 and you peasants have nothing to be grateful for. I have been inside the library recently and honestly the old girl is crying for a facelift, the goddamn carpet looks like it survived the world war and some. The Library is one of the oldest in Southwark and you are crying about a study place? What a bunch of bullshit. You have libraries all around you for your kids to go their studying you rotten sausage. How about be happy that the library is going to look absolutely stunning rather than be a whining bitch about it   Also, I have been told that the staffs have to work in the smaller libraries together. How do you think they feel?
    • I would like to recommend Aaron, who has just finished 5 days plastering work in my house. He is professional , polite, tidy, punctual and reliable. He did a fantastic job, a good price and a top quality finish. Highly recommended! Aaron Manser 07773 410661
