Edited n time(s)

Why do some posts change after being posted, but there is no "Edited n time(s)" text at the bottom?

Examples include Honnalochie's suggestions for covers on the "hot new band" thread, and someone fixing a closing bold tag on the "Franks Campari Bar" thread. This is really bothering me!

It is only myself and the moderators this does not automatically happen to. Changes we make sometimes do not say "edited by..". The reason is that when I correct posts, such as the missing bold tag or making TITLES ALL IN CAPITALS not capitals, having [edited by Admin] would cause unnecessary confusion.

It we edit our own text however we do add [edited] so as to not cause confusion.
