Flooded cellar

Our cellar is flooded and the man from Thames water says it's probably the rain and recommends a drainage pump fitted rather than having the whole cellar lined

Has anyone had any experience of this and can anyone recommend a firm to fit one?

It could be your 'coal hole', heavy rain floods our cellar as well, need to seal around the coal hole and not the air holes in the middle
