I think the media and experts cause confusion in mothers and often make mothers feel bad about doing the right thing. When my 4th child was born the health visitor asked if I would demonstrate breast feeding at her ante natal class, I wasn't keen but agreed, I had never been to any classes before. I was introduced with a warning, the mothers were asked not to be persuaded by me to have a home birth, I was shocked as I absolutely believe people have a choice and had no intention to mention home births. Neither had I any intention of saying how mothers should breastfeed, if a mother is so uncomfortable with it then I believe bottle feeding for there baby is the best regardless of my personal choice. A mothers milk is natural and instinctive for many, regardless of what the experts say.
