Rate advice- opinions welcome

Hi there

I've some work dates booked abroad and I'm completely in the dark as regards the rates paid for my particular situation. Let me explain:

I've two girls aged 12 and 9. The 12 year old is in secondary and transports herself to and fro. The 9 year old still needs collection from school, a bus ride home and then back again the next morning.

So, with a 3pm(ish) pick up, dinner made and supervised to bed at 8/9pm, then a 7am wake up, breakfast and school drop off, what would the going rate be?

I'm genuinely in the dark about this. Do I pay the same rate for overnight hours as for waking ones? All advice helpful.

Many thanks

Aidan

    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.

    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
