Half House Plantation Shutters for Stair Window

Hi, I have had some work done to the house and now cannot use my lovely plantation shutters on the stair window of my half house. All the half houses in ED seem to have this similar configuration so should fit. I noticed they made a massive difference to drafts and also look really nice. The shutter size is 154cm high by 49 cm wide as it was made to measure.

I would like ?90 for it as it cost me ?300 new.

Please PM me if you are interested rather than replying to this post.

Hi bewski,

Out of interest what work did you get done to your half house that meant you couldn't use the shutters? My wife and I also live in a half-house (Silvester Road) and are currently planning a rear extension and loft conversion. We are going round in circles a little bit to be honest in terms of how best to maximise space, etc. We would like to convert the loft and put a shower en-suite up there. Have you done this? Are you pleased with the result and the extra space? does it make the second bedroom on the first floor too small? Sorry for all the questions!! thank you so much.

Perhaps someone can identify the writing on the jacket and trousers. Video clip was too large to upload so here are a few snapshots Pleased to say he went away empty handed as we leave nothing of any value in the car.

    • That's very very clever! Ah, ok. So I just put it in the green bin? Probably better in a black bin bag so it doesn't blow all over the street/recycling centre, but then what happens when they burn it in the black bag? And how do they "get energy from it" when it burns? Is it turned into electricity or something? I went on a tour of the recycling centre years ago, but I don't remember them talking about that! Thanks, I have far too much, it would take years! I do have two "daleks" on my allotment but I would need to store the shredded paper somewhere before using it, and I really want it out of the house. It's taking up more room than the boxes of folders did before 🤣
