Recommendation for Angel Upholstery

Recommended Posts

If anyone is thinking about having a sofa or chair re-upholstered I wanted to recommend Annemarie @ Angle Upholstery on Melbourne Grove. I've just taken delivery of a sofa and cocktail chair and they look fab.

Annemarie was a pleasure to deal with - such a lovely lady. Super prompt on email and very helpful with advice throughout, she didn't try to sell any expensive cloth to me, in fact she was very mindful of our budget and was happy to come to our house and spend well over an hour showing me through swatch books.

The finished work is of a very high standard and I feel like we made the right decision to do up our old sofa rather than buy a new one. The final cost wasn't that much different from a sofa.com type price but we couldn't find anything that matched the style and size of our old sofa which we loved so were really happy to invest the money to bring it back to life.

If you are weighing up the pros and cons in buying new or re-upholstering old I'd definitely give Annemarie a call before you decide 0208 693 4869 or [email protected].

    • There  is a dance fit class at Harris girls on a Monday evening 630 pm which I have been going to for years . It is an inclusive class  with a wide range of ages.    The  teacher is Fi and she is amazing and  the classes are lots of fun.   look on the web justdanceuk .com. There are other dance classes  (flowetic )that Fi and the lovely Lizzie runs  at Harris girls too . They also have an event next week which is a bit further- near Penge  which is a day of dance to include  just dance fit, dancehall, line dancing, garage fit and flowetic . Which is also available to book on that website  ( look at the events section) .
    • that’s just been misused first by Faraz and then Starmer. It’s evocative and negative.  But it’s flooding the news today.
    • I didn't realise that either! I thought it just meant division within communities - religious, racial or otherwise.  Yes, it is frightening. The days of the broad church political party are over.
    • So I've done a little more research into the current use of the word, I hadn't realised it had latterly been used to describe anti Muslim feelings. Still don't like the use of the word. These are horrible times and am fearful for the future.
