Just interested to know how common this is....

It seems that every time my little one is teething she goes right of solids other than fruit and yoghurt for about a week before the teeth appear. Even if no other signs of teething.

Talking to a friend today she said both of hers are just the same, so I wondered if it is true for lots of other babies?

If so, I can understand the yoghurt being soothing on the gums, but interesting that they go off all savoury food. I wonder why.

My baby likes to bite down on hard things when she is teething and eating I give her sticks of carrot, toast, apple, tomato and cucumber ( and have done from beginning of weaning) to hold and bite down on but at the same time give her mouthfuls of her dinner. Although smoother dinners work best. The sticks seem to act as a good decoy and distraction and I am able to feed her as she has her mouth open to bite and doesn't seem to mind her dinner going in too. Biting down in-between mouthfuls also relieves the discomfort for her and gives her an element of control.

    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
