Window reconditioning required

Wonder if anyone has any recommendations or can help please?

We live in an Edwardian property where some of the sash windows have been replaced but some are still aluminium framed ones. They are very difficult to open and close and could do with 'reconditioning'. They are double glazed and not in bad condition so rather than replace them, I'd like to remove the glass from the frames, refit them and give them a general sort out.

Could anyone recommend someone for this kind of job please? Thanks very much.

    • Very happy to add my recommendation for TDR property maintenance. Tony and his team have transformed my front garden, breaking up a bare patch of concrete and laying a beautiful victorian tiled path. They've also repaired a wall and a fence for us. Richard's tiling has been meticulous and Tony's communication has been great throughout the process. We wouldn't hesitate to use him again.
    • Perhaps this could be part of your proposed forum meet up, the cheese I hasten to add @Sue
    • Sounds like you've had some interesting evenings 🤣
    • Shame, go there!  Although embarrassingly we only used it takeaway during lockdown.  It's a Persian store/cafe/restaurant if you are unaware of the cultural reference in the name.   Just checked the menu and it is phenomenal and good value too, thanks for reminding me to go there  https://foratasteofpersia.co.uk/restaurant/
