In my opinion this is not your neighbours' falt, but the builders. If the Sky engineer spoke with them, I'd be asking them for the money, not the neighbours who didn't put the scaffolding up.

I appreciate that this is very annoying for you, but to them it's probably pretty far down the list of things to worry about at this time.

Of course you can! If you can prove their scaffolding caused your Sky to fail then they will just pay up!

You need it in writing from the sky engineer that this was the cause. Once you have that I think they will be unlikely to argue.

If you PM me their names I will check out what kind of lawyers they are - other than in inconsiderate ones!

But it's not enforceable?

Based on the fact that they have already repeatedly ignored requests?

:-)

Good luck with that! Most incomers start using local forums before they move to an area precisely to find out more about It (and then promptly stop using it when they move in)!

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
    • So do I, but I think they are in trouble as well.  Anyway, that space wouldn't be big enough.
    • I'm not talking about Starmer. I was responding to a post which  said that  Corbyn was unelectable. How people voted in the "more hotly contested election" is irrelevant. Corbyn wasn't leading the Labour Party then. Starmer was. And the turnout for Labour reflects that.
